There is a significant difference on the way Mexican women have been incorporated to the labor force compared to men, and recent researches have proved how women have a clear disadvantage at looking for jobs in Mexico even now.

Many people dreamed of seeing the women’s oppression decrease, but the reality is different as on the last decades women have hard very difficult time to develop in a positive way on the rural and urban areas.

Salomón Juan Marcos Villarreal, president of Grupo Denim, a jeans manufacturer company in Mexico, has shared with us his thoughts about women and their actual situation on the labor force:

Interviewer: Do you think that there is equality in Mexico for both men and women?

Salomón Juan Marcos Villarreal: Although I believe there has been important progress on many different sectors, there is still a long way to reach total equality and opportunities for both genders.

I: Do you think there could be more that can be done to open new opportunities for women on the labor force?

SJMV: Of course, the government, the companies and everyone needs to understand how important and capable are women to develop any type of jobs.

The problem of women entering into the labor force goes further than just a matter of training and education. The need for women to have more precise schooling to develop different type of jobs is starting to be recognized by the social sciences in Mexico.

The invisibility of women for labor force is a common mistake that makes the urban and rural sectors in Mexico to have very partial approaches, which blocks their opportunities to get better jobs with fair wages.

Electronic frauds consist of a criminal activity through Internet, computers and telecommunication services. These frauds can be done by many different acts, but the four most important categories include data, informatics, identity thievery and computer frauds.

“We must be forewarned to avoid being victims of any electronic frauds, now that technology is so important, taking care of our personal data is more important as well, avoiding sharing personal data with unnecessarily”, said Salomon Juan Marcos Villarreal about this topic.

  • Identity thievery – This is a common crime that consists of any person assuming the identity of another one, without his or her acquiescence, it is directly related to electronic frauds when a person uses that identity with the information taken from electronic media, including hacking or stealing electronic documents.
  • Computer frauds – Includes identity thievery, and phishing, the scammers dress up like professionals working for credit card enterprises or banks with the only intention to obtain passwords, usernames or credit card information.
  • Online frauds – This is a method used to steal information from another person. An example of the online frauds is the fake webpages, it is important that you check twice if you are entering into the correct website before you enter your personal information.
  • Computer-based scams – These types of frauds were designed to mislead persons, the electronic correspondence is associated with this type of scams, for example, e-mails sent to a list of persons telling them they won a prize.

“Electronic frauds are unfortunately more common than ever, so we need to be sure with whom we are sharing our information and only do it when it is absolutely necessary, especially when we are using our mobile phone or a computer”, added Salomon Juan Marcos Villarreal, president of Grupo Denim.

What defines a good leader?

A leader in an organization has the same authority than any boss on another company, but there is an important difference between making the personal to obey and making your work team follow you, so we will analyze what is it that defines a person as a good leader.

  3. Teamwork – It is essential for a good leader to be excellent at teamwork, he must not try to take all the work, but to convey enthusiasm and trust to the group so that everyone will make their own part. Delegating responsibilities in a fair way makes a great difference.
  4. Bright – A good leader is usually bright, with innovative ideas and trying to constantly improve the work to benefit the organization and the personnel.
